Choosing your FONZ
What's the difference between the Arthur 7 and Z Series?
Arthur 7 is built around removable Powerpacks you can charge at any standard power point, making it ideal for city riders without a garage. Z Series is the performance model: 100 km/h top speed, 0–50 km/h in 2.3 seconds, fast charging and 25L of under-seat storage. Compare models.
Which FONZ electric scooter is cheapest?
The Arthur 7 SR is the most affordable new FONZ, from $6,490 ride-away. The Arthur 7 LR starts from $8,190 ride-away and the Z Series from $9,990 ride-away. Certified pre-owned FONZ scooters start from $3,690.
Which model has the longest range?
The Z Series, with up to 180 km when fitted with the optional Range Extender (100 km without it). The Arthur 7 LR offers up to 130 km and the Arthur 7 SR up to 65 km. Real-world range varies with speed, terrain, load and conditions.
Is the Z Series equivalent to a 125cc or a 300cc scooter?
300cc. With a 10.7 kW motor, 0–50 km/h in 2.3 seconds, a 105 km/h top speed and 100 km/h continuous speed, the Z Series matches or beats 300cc petrol scooters for acceleration. The electric alternative to a 300cc scooter.
Can the Z Series go on the freeway?
It reaches 105 km/h and holds 100 km/h continuously, so it handles 100 km/h roads. For long, high-speed touring, a petrol scooter still refuels faster.
Will a FONZ fit me if I'm tall or short?
Yes. The Z Series has a 775mm seat height built for taller riders, and Arthur 7's 760mm seat height suits most riders. All models can be fitted with handlebar risers, which add a couple of inches. We've fitted riders as tall as 6'5" (196cm) and haven't yet found a rider we can't fit. For smaller riders, we also offer low-profile saddles and tyres.
Can an electric scooter replace a car?
For many households, yes. A FONZ takes a 29L to 45L top case, the Z Series has 25L of under-seat storage, there are shopping hooks, and a carry-on suitcase fits on the footrest. On a motorcycle licence you can carry a pillion passenger. Many FONZ owners have gone from two cars to one car and a FONZ.
Is FONZ the same company as Fonzarelli?
Yes. FONZ (formerly Fonzarelli) is an Australian-owned electric scooter and motorcycle company, exclusively electric since 2010.
